Lizards in the Bible

 

   The word "Lizard" is only mentioned 1 times in the Old Testamnet of the King James Version of the Bible in the book of Leviticus. However there is no less than 44 species found in Israel including at least one which is legless. The sheltopusik or European Legless Lizard is the only species from the Anguidae family in Israel. The lizard in the puzzle is a prehensile-tailed skink that is at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio.
