So Much More Than Mere Words Concluded!

   These are some of the higher purposes for which God chooses to use gospel songs—songs written at His inspiration by the hands of flawed, imperfect beings. He uses both the grand old hymns of the faith and newly-penned gospel songs to accomplish His purpose within the saved and unsaved human heart. It is a privilege to write a song and watch how He can use it to touch someone’s life and to follow the directive of Psalm 33:

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous!
For praise from the upright is beautiful.
2 Praise the Lord with the harp;
Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.
3 Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy. (NKJV)
