The Cross, Are We Bearing Ours? Contiuned

We celebrate not the death of our Savior, but the resurrection of our Savior. A resurrected Lord who lives today. Who died without sin, for our sin, and resurrected to show us that we not only, through him, have power over death. But we have forgiveness of sin and the power over sin. Sin does not control us, we are cleansed of sin.  If we sin, it is our choice.
The crosses that we have to bear are for a purpose of which we have no knowledge. God does have knowledge. He knows the purpose, he knows what we must learn. He knows we are weak. The only way we can be strong is through Jesus Christ. “I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me”. Nothing alone, but all things through Christ.
Instead of complaining about our crosses, (I do it too), let us carry our cross in memory of this Savior who carried his cross for us. He could’ve gotten out of it. We could get out of it. Do we really want to? What blessing, what strength, what relationship with God would we be missing if we received our will instead of God’s.
The next time the trials come, don’t think of weakness, think of the strength you will gain. Think of Jesus who loved us so much that he bore his cross for us. Can we do less?
