It is appropriate in our discussion of The Great Commission that we include The Media. I still believe the best way to “witness” is one-on-one. I also believe that, if done right, the media can extend the reach of witnessing. A few years ago, Cornerstone Baptist Church acquired a LPFM license (Low Power FM Radio). It began in a small building behind the church and is now located inside the sanctuary. Pastor Jim Walz heads up the radio operations and his father, Pastor Tom Walz is the lead pastor of the church. There have been many hardships which have included multiple lightning strikes at the tower which damaged or destroyed much of the equipment. That equipment is not cheap. But God provides! As ususal, in ministry, the results are equal to the dedication. If one is not dedicated then they will quit when the trials come. Remember, Job was told “curse God and die”. Job did not quit. He said “though He slay me, yet will I serve Him”. Faith in God equals dedication which equals work which equals results. Even though ministries like WWTL exist across the country, it does not excuse the individual Christian from doing their own “simple” ministry. Tell someone about Jesus and Salvation! |
