| My family and I recently went to Dollywood where we enjoyed the rides and shows but my favorite part was the steam train that we rode. This one was used during the war to take supplies to the troops before it made its home in Tennessee. This train is impressive to look at. Large both in size and weight, it can even look a little frightening. Imagine it traveling through the mountains delivering supplies to our troops during war time. It was a very important machine used during the war. But this huge piece of metal and bolts is useless until someone shovels coal into its firebox, heating the boiler so steam is created giving it power so it can pull great loads across great distances.  We are like that steam engine.          | |
