Inspiration from Behind the Lens Continued

My family and I recently went to Dollywood where we enjoyed the rides and shows but my favorite part was the steam train that we rode. This one was used during the war to take supplies to the troops before it made its home in Tennessee. This train is impressive to look at. Large both in size and weight, it can even look a little frightening. Imagine it traveling through the mountains delivering supplies to our troops during war time. It was a very important machine used during the war. But this huge piece of metal and bolts is useless until someone shovels coal into its firebox, heating the boiler so steam is created giving it power so it can pull great loads across great distances.  We are like that steam engine.
We’re impressive creations capable of doing many things but until Jesus puts the Holy Ghost  in us we don’t have any strength or power to accomplish anything. Just like Peter was a good man and did many things but when the Jesus sent the Holy Ghost down to him and the other disciples they were able to do great  things, even speaking in different languages, and spreading God’s word to everyone. We need to rely on the Holy Ghost to give us the strength so that we can accomplish the things He would have us do while we are here so that one day we can hear Him say well done thou good and faithful servant.
