Like many others, we attended the 2014 National Quartet Convention with some concerns.  We found that some concerns were valid and others were just a matter of getting used to change.
Change is sometimes difficult.  When you reach my generation, that change can be more difficult to accept.  We found that acceptance to be variable among the fans and the artists at this years NQC.
Parking was definitely a problem.  Since many, if not most of the people there are handicapped, there was definitely a long walk from where you park to the LeConte Center entrance.  Check our photos to see the parking space.  They do have shuttles to transport you to the center and back to your car.  Without these shuttles, it would have been a disaster.
The attendance was not harmed by the new location, but the human traffic among the aisles became quite congested at times, as well as the line for rest rooms.
Artist Booths were much less than we were used to in Louisville and some artists found themselves in rooms with only 2 or three artists.  Their booths were difficult to find.
Even with these problems, the Spirit was still moving, the music was flowing and God was still working.  This is the most important.
You will find photos that we hope will help with your questions.  We also will provide some music from the artists and some comments and testimonies some have made.
Will we go back?  Probably.  Will there still be problems?  Possibly.  Will God still work?  Absolutely!
We invite you now to take part in our photos, songs and ministry from the 2014 NQC.
