Will You Be Mine? Concluded

For example, Cupid, which in Roman Mythology has power to make people fall in love, also the worship of a Saint and the miss conception of love.Now don’t get me wrong! I feel there is nothing wrong with celebrating Valentine’s Day just as long as you don’t worship the Roman false God’s, who make an idol out of Valentine. Some people (hopefully not Christians) even have a sexual relationship with someone they are not married to. These are the very things Valentine fought against. The sad thing is this still goes on today.  Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, not Godly love that we should have for all. 

   I really admire Valentine because he stood up for what he believed in and died for it. Christians in The United States needs to take note; Christians have allowed too much paganism and sin to enter not only in the church building but also in our daily lives. This needs to change!! Pastors need to stop preaching popular sermons about things we already know and start preaching on how to live a Christian life in this sinful world. Jesus has sacrificed so much for us, what are we willing to give up for Him?

   In modern days,  most young people think that love is something of a sexual nature. But that’s not true; sex is only part of love when you are married. True love is something that is expressed very little in this age. Valentine expressed this kind of love, which is “Agape love” a Christian love. In the Bible Jesus tells us what agape love is, Agape love is an unconditional love. Christ expressed this kind of love on a hill called Calvary, It was there that He gave His life to free us from our sins. Christians need to express more of this kind of love not only to your brothers and sisters in Christ but also to non-Christians as well. Christ said we are the light of the world.  We need to start showing it! This Valentine’s Day if you are married or just have a girl friend or Boy friend, take a moment, pray to God and thank Him for giving you that special person in you life.
