There has been a question about which lens is better, Tamron, or Sigma.  I own The Tamron and the Sigma Sports.  My answer would be “according to the use”.  The Tamron is a good lens for “handhold” use.  The Sigma is for a tripod mount and gives I think, a superior lens for tripod use.
   If moisture is a problem, The Sigma is better because it was made water resistant.
   If I could only get one of these, I would probably get The Tamron because it is lighter.  The lightness adds to its versatility.
