Andy Good is the leader of the group “Persuaded”. In listening to their music, I find them to be equal, if not greater than others who travel in the same genre of music. So why have churches across the nation not heard of their ministry? Although there are many who have been blessed by the ministry of Persuaded, there are many more who may not know of the ministry offered by Persuaded.
Persuaded consists of three fine singers: Andy Good, Rob Brunk & Larry Hook. Andy is a Pastor of a local church. Andy also works as a marketing and community education co-ordinator for a Hospice. Andy also is a self made comedian as you will see when you play their interview. Andy and Rob are cousins and have been singing together for most of their life. They later met Larry and thus Persuaded began. Rob is a salesman. His product is roof trusses. Larry works for the state of Ohio providing home-care. They have a fine sound, a fine Spirit, and a lot of dedication and determination. Commitment is definitely a necessity of anyone who begins a task of any kind. Commitment is definitely a necessity for Gospel Groups who are striving to share their ministry in the midst of many who are doing the same. The factor which seperates a singer from a minister is what makes the difference. A singer merely wishes to entertain. A minister endeavors to lead others to the truth they have found. The truth of a risen Saviour, Jesus Christ. I believe Persuaded is such a group. It seems the state of Ohio is home to many Gospel Artists. Glen Payne formed “The Cathedrals” while living in Stow, Ohio. Persuaded is from Logan, Ohio. Logan is in Southern Ohio, almost as far as you can get without being in West Virginia (about 60 miles or so). Maybe this is why they have developed the sound which, in some ways is unique of those from this area. The sound: Country and Southern Gospel. Persuaded has been together for only a year, but their dedicated practice has brought them to be able to harmonize very well together. One of the songs from their latest CD is “Feeling Mighty Fine”. Be sure and listen to it below. I appreciate up-lifting songs and Feeling Mighty Fine is very uplifting. The other songs on the album are just as well done and should be appreciated by those who appreciate all styles of Gospel Music. The harmony is very good, the arrangement is very good and Persuaded is very good. What more can be said? It will be worthwile to check out their web site. You will find out how to book Persuaded to come to your church. It is www.gospelgigs.com/showpage.asp?groupid=persuaded. This website will also lead you to other fine Gospel Talent. Just Click! We enjoyed great fellowship as we conducted our interview with persuaded and not only found a new Gospel Group but also found a mutual interest in getting together for a “jam” session playing our musical instruments and hopefully becoming more proficient (I’m a little rusty). Listen to their interview here and their song "Feeling Mighty Fine" here.
