Recently, Doug and Pat Miller was in our Power Line Multi-Media studios and we shared for quite some time about how their goals and our goals are similar.
They have travelled extensively and the name “The Concords” has an extensive history as well.
The Concords originated in the early ‘70’s with Jim Black, Wily Shephard and Gary Timbs.  In 1981, Brad Dashiell and Doug Miller purchased the name and moved to Sheridan, Arkansas.
In 1983, the group disbanded and Doug became the owner of The Concords and moved to its current location, Patriot, Ohio.

In 1984, Pat (Phillips) Miller joined the group as the lead singer, bass player and fill-in piano player.  In 1988, Pat and Doug had their first daughter, Elizabeth and went off the road to work in local ministry.
In 2009, The Concords were re-formed with Doug, Pat, and their daughters.  Elizabeth married Wes Clary and Wes joined the group as sound technician.
Their current CD is titled “God’s Not Finished With Me Yet”. The title song hit the Christian Voice Magazine‘s Top 100 at #78 for December, 2010, in January of 2011 it moved to #61 and in February of 2011 it ranked at #51. Listen to God’s Not Finished With Me Yet” . Another song on their new album is called “Sonshinin’” .
Doug, with co-host Randy Shaffer have a weeky radio show on Joy FM called “At The Crossroads”.
Future plans for The Concords include becoming a full-time ministry.  They are also working towards a satellite and internet Gospel Music Television Show.
   The Concords’ web site is:
www.concordsmusic.com.
It has been said “The family that prays together stays together”.  I would re-phrase that by saying: “The family that MINISTERS together stays together”.  The millers are indeed a family involved in working for God and to bring Salvation to a world that does not know or understand Jesus Christ or the message of what true Salvation is.
The Miller family are also involved in a Christian based beauty pageant called: “Pure American Girl”.  The pageant is currently in 25 states.  If you would like to know more about the pageant, their web-site is:
www.pureamericangirl.homestead.com.
