A Time to Remember Logo

Father's Day, a day where we appreciate all the things our fathers have done for us over time. When we were kids we didn't always know the sacrifices and hardships that our fathers go through to raise us in this difficult world. All fathers want the best for their kids and try very hard to succeed in giving them the opportunities they didn’t have when growing up. Some fathers are able to accomplish the dreams and hope for their kid’s endeavors while some

cannot.

I have not had the privilege of being a father yet, but I think it would be a little stressful to be one, but at the same time very rewarding also.
Dads may not be able to give all the breaks in life to their kids, but that’s not what’s important. The love we show our kids and the respect for others is the most important.
When you get involved with your kids by teaching them the difference between right and wrong by Gods word, that will make a profound difference in their life. Always make time for them no matter how busy you get, because God and family are the two most important things.
I’m very blessed to have a great Dad in my life. He may not have been able to give me the moon and all the worldly things, but he gave me something better lots of love, kindness and patience.
I want you to know my parents had their hands full trying to teach me and raise me up right. I was a very hyper kid laced with a strong opinion on everything and didn’t listen very well either. Needless to say I knew how to press my parents buttons and did it often.
God was very prevalent in our home. Dad was an evangelist so therefore us kids went to church a lot and visited different denominations.
When I got old enough to understand what Jesus Christ did for me I quickly gave my heart to him at the age of 7 years old. My Dad and Mom were a big influence on me, which led to finding and accepting my best friend and greatest love of my life Jesus Christ.
Overall I think I turned out pretty good and God did deliver me from most of my bad habits, but by no means am I perfect. There is only one that is perfect and that’s Jesus Christ. I can honestly say I would not be the man I am today without God and my parents.

I know not everybody still have their Dads with them in the physical sense but that doesn’t mean there not with you. Take time out of your day to let God and your Dad know how much they mean to you and that you love them very much with all your heart. Thank you God so much for giving me a wonderful Dad to love. God bless all the Dads and Mothers out there!
