Each time that I have gone to the National Quartet Convention, I am marveled at the amount of new talent that I find. At the 2013 NQC I met was able to meet and talk to such a group called Down Home.
Down Home is a family group that considers of the Father (Mac), Mother (Sharon), a son (Michael) and daughter (Annmarie). Considering the son is only 14 years old and the daughter is 16 this family have extremely close harmony and are very talented.
In addition to their talent in vocals they are also talented in production and have a concert experience that includes Three large (12ft – 20ft) HD multi-media video screens, a state-of-the-art intelligent light system, and a high quality sound system that allows their message to be seen and heard. They are currently based in the Nashville Tennessee area but travel across the country not only spreading their ministry but helping others in developing a new ministry.
As long as there are artists like Down Home, I believe that gospel music will prosper for a long period of time and we all know that The Gospel will prosper and will be around as long as there are Christians on the earth.
God bless groups like Down Home for carrying on a ministry of telling others about Jesus Christ, his love and what God has done for them.
