The True Meaning
of the Word: “Rainbow”

By James E. Crigger

Lately, we have seen another perversion in the meaning of Biblical signs and events.
Why some people are fighting and changing meanings of Biblical signs is simple:  If you can

God’s Word mean something less, then it is easy to dis-regard His Word concerning the Judgment and sentence of those who don’t love God.
Instead of fighting back (which doesn’t work) perhaps we should more of the love and understanding God found in us when He forgave us of our sins and saved our souls.
Am I saying not to fight sin?  God forbid!  I’m saying to love the sinner and attempt to help them understand the difference between hating what they do and hating them.
God DOES NOT hate anyone.  He does hate what we do.  God does not see the difference between being a liar or one that practices a sinful lifestyle.  To God, SIN IS SIN.  If you are a sinner who has not been forgiven, the simple truth is that there is no hope for you.  You will go to Hell, do not pass go and definitely collect nothing.
God is not cruel.  We are stupid if we commit sin and know and understand the Word of God.  Hell is for the devil and those who follow the devil.  If you go to Hell, it is not God  that sent you there.  It is the  lifestyle you  lead.  A lifestyle  filled with sin.  Remember, God does not care what sin you commit, He only sees sin.  And sin cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  Only Salvation can free you from sin and keep you out of the eternity  of Hell.
There are many who have been saved and continue to sin.  They think because they said a few words (that they may not have meant) that they will go to Heaven.  Many do not believe you can lose your salvation.  You cannot LOSE it, but you can turn away from it.  Study the words of this scripture and understand that you can turn away  from that salvation and by turning away, you will lose it.
Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
You cannot lose your salvation but you can turn away from it.  To turn away means to reject and if you reject God, Jesus and Salvation by living a sinful  lifestyle, then you ARE NOT saved and will go to Hell.  Many do not want to believe this but after salvation there are requirements given ffor  a  Christian.  If you choose sin over obedience to God’s Word (Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft I Samuel 15:23).
If you rebel against God by continuing in sin, then you have “turned away” and the only hope you have is return to God, ask for forgiveness for your sin and continue to live without sin.
You’ve heard the saying:  You can’t have your cake andd eat it too.  Then you can’t have your salvation and be a sinner too.
