Inspiration From Behind The Lens Concluded |
My grandma loved to plant flowers. She had many flowerbeds and the first flowers that always appeared were the tulips. I inherited her love of flowers and even got some of her tulip bulbs but I have also have what I have always called Easter Lilies. They are the first flowers I see in my beds every spring, blooming even before the tulips. I love the shape of them, their yellow color, and how even if we get a frost or cold spell it doesn’t seem to bother them. They are also a reminder to me of how my Savior rose from the grave. At the end of the season the Easter lilies die back and you may think they are gone but they are just resting for their return the following spring. Jesus died on the cross and was put in an empty tomb. But unlike the Easter lily, He was not resting but was defeating sin and death for us. Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross for each of us, and when he rose that third day gave us the hope of salvation and life eternal with Him. |
