We talked of many things, including changes, good and bad, that we see in church services today. I really enjoyed the outgoing personality of Phyllis who was always bubbly. Danny seemed

      | kind of like me; to the point, kind of serious and ready to talk about whatever the current subject might be. I like people like that, who say what they want.    I could tell in our conversation that Danny was not new to the gospel music world.  He knew a lot of people I knew and many that I didn’t know.In addition to being a minister and a singer, Danny operates his own business of electronic and microphone sales.
Danny and Phyllis reside in Jamestown, Tennessee and have been together since they were ten years old in Moodyville, Tennessee.  Sadly, they have lost 3 children to sickness.  I have lost 1 child and cannot imagine what it’s like to lose three.  God does bring us thru the trials.
Some of their songs have been on charts and they have won many awards such as: duo of the year in many states.  One of the charting songs was “You Don’t Know What He’s Done For Me”.
The Schofields are an example of what God can do when his children are willing to sacrifice and become workers in God’s field.  The Word says to “go into all the world and preach the gospel”.  All the world includes places you might not want to go, and meeting people you might not want to be around.     It is an added blessing when “all the world” includes ministering to people who are hungry for the Lord; His music; and His people.
If you get the opportunity, join The Schofields in their ministry.  You’ll be glad you did.
I apologize that due to technical difficulties, my interview with Danny was not usable.
