Times, They Are A Changing CONTINUED Now I know everyone will not agree with me on this one but it does not matter what form of music you use to glorify the Lords’ name, just as long as you are doing it for God and not for self. The Bible says to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, what would the Lord consider to be a joyful noise? The Lord would consider a joyful noise to be giving Him praise; glory and singing about how wonderful it is since Jesus came into your life. I enjoy listening to Southern Gospel music and especially enjoyed researching the history of it. No matter what style of music you play or the age group you are in, traveling across the country singing and ministering to people is very important. I commend all of the hard work each individual artist has done over the years and to come. But I realize that with any style of music, change is necessary for growth and longevity. Maybe the new young artist out there will be able to spark a new interest in Southern Gospel music. So no pressure to you guys and girls. Don’t be afraid to go out there and push the boundaries of the gifts and talents God give you. Something to think about is that if things did not change, we might still be singing Gregorian Chants! |
