For as long as I can remember, we have seen, in association with government: “In God We Trust”. However, in these times, it seems this is no longer true.

Not only is our government attempting to take God and Christianity out of any part of the government. It has become unclear as to how far this can go.
We are told we cannot display any Christian jewelry or signs in public. We are told we cannot pray at public events. We are told we cannot preach against certain acts of sin that are specifically mentioned in The Bible. How far can this discrimination go? As Christians, we know the answer to this.
Movies, Television and even conversation uses examples of acts of stupidity that have been or portrayed to have been perpetrated by “Christians”. If they would read the Bible correctly (rightfully divide the word of God), they would find that not only does God dis-approve of these acts, but true Christians would never be a part of these acts, or condone them.
This brings us to another problem. What is a “true” Christian? A true Christian is one who believes, abides by and lives by what The Bible teaches. Since the Bible teaches love, it is not Christian to hate, lie, cheat, or malign ANY person. A true Christian can be distinguished by their lack of profanity; their lack of openly committing a sin and by their love. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. By these standards, Christianity should be revered by all, including the government. Kings, governments and powers that be throughout history have looked to God’s Prophets and Christians for guidance and advice. Christians have even been consulted by governments concerning in how to run their country. At one time, this was true of the United States.
It is very refreshing to see the following item that appeared on Facebook last month. At least not all of the government is anti-Christian. Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore insisted that freedom of religion applies to only the God of the Bible, and therefore the protections of the establishment clause do not extend to other religions, such as Islam and Buddhism.
What do you think of his statement?
