“And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that he waters were abated from off the earth. And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him anymore.” Genesis 8:11-12
That now brings us up to 334 days.
“And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry. And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried” Genesis 8:13-14
After Noah removed the covering of the ark it was the first month of the new year, which was 327 days. This was when the dove did not return to Noah after being released. They still remained on the ark from the first day of the first month until the 27 day of the second month So from the time that the dove left till Noah stepped out of the ark was 57 days. This brings our total up to 377 days on the ark. It’s amazing that they lived for so long on the ark. God provided the means for them to live and then prosper after they left the ark.
“And God spake unto Noah, saying, Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, nd thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee. Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepteth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.” Genesis 8:16-17
