Ingredients:

 

2 c. self-rising flour
1 stick butter, diced
1 c. buttermilk or milk

Directions:

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, using a pastry blender, combine flour and butter; mix until mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs.
Stir in buttermilk or milk and mix thoroughly.
On a floured surface, place dough and roll out or press to about ½-inch thickness.
Using a biscuit cutter cut out the biscuits and place on prepared baking pan.
Bake 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, brush tops with melted butter and serve with gravy, honey, jelly, jams and etc.
